After seeing an advert on Facebook, I thought that Yume Twins (www.yumetwins.com) seems like a really good concept. As a lover of all things kawaii, this box really appeals to me. I used a 40% discount using the EARLYBIRD offer for this but normally the price is $23.99 + $6 shipping. If you purchase a 3, 6 or 12 month subscription plan, the boxes are slightly discounted.
The boxes, which include 8 to 10 items, are shipped from Japan and they work with famous brands in order to get the best content for their subscribers. This month is a Sanrio All-Stars special. The box is really sturdy and well designed. The artwork and colour palette is really cool.
There are different options for each item, but here I got some Little Twin Stars socks, a Hello Kitty plush keyring charm, Hello Kitty memo pad and a Hello Kitty backpack charm.
In this photo, I got a beaded bracelet, Harajuku tiara clip, Shinada poodle and a My Melody drawstring bag.
You also get a mini magazine which tells you the contents of each box and some features about kawaii culture in Japan. These cafes look good!
I am quite pleased with the majority of the box. Some subscription boxes can contain cheap looking items but here, you can tell there are better quality products are included. I really like Sanrio things, and the Shinada poodle is so cute and soft! I didn’t really like the bracelet – I thought it was nothing special and not as good quality as the rest of the box. The magazine is also great, it feels like the company has put a lot of effort into compiling boxes.
Yume Twins is a little expensive when compared to other boxes and they charge shipping as well. However, the items are better than what one would find in the cheaper subscription boxes. I am interested to see what their other boxes will be like!
At the moment, new subscribers are able to claim a $5 discount off every box, which you might find useful (Code: FOREVER5).
